Privacy policy

Bingo ("we") is a search service for online stores that runs on the Zid and Salla platforms and through an API. This policy explains what data we process, why, and your rights over it.
Data we process
Merchant data
- Store ID, name and URL, as provided by the store platform when the app is installed.
- Access tokens the platform grants our app. They are stored encrypted and are only used to read product data and subscription status.
- Product data: name, description, category, brand, price, image, stock and sales count, used only to build the search index.
Storefront search data
- Search query text, result counts and the products clicked.
- A random, anonymous session ID created in the shopper's browser and discarded when it closes; we delete its records from our servers within 24 hours.
We do not collect shoppers' names, emails, phone numbers, addresses or payment details, and Bingo's storefront search sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Visitors to bingosearch.app
Our marketing website (not our merchants' stores) uses Google Analytics to measure visits and popular pages. It collects general usage data such as device type, country and pages viewed, and uses cookies to do so. You can block it in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.
How we use data
- To run search and improve result ranking for your store.
- To learn synonyms and corrections from your own store's aggregated search patterns.
- To show analytics in the merchant dashboard.
- To manage subscriptions and provide support.
We never sell or rent data, and we never use one store's data to improve another store's results.
Hosting and security
The service runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), access tokens are encrypted at rest, and system access is limited to a small number of administrators.
Retention
- Product data and search indexes: for as long as the app is installed.
- Session IDs: 24 hours at most.
- Aggregated search statistics: for the duration of the subscription.
- When the app is uninstalled we stop syncing and delete the store's data within 30 days, or sooner on the merchant's request.
Your rights
Merchants may request a copy, correction or deletion of their store's data at any time by writing to support@bingosearch.app. We comply with applicable data-protection laws, including Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The updated version will be published on this page with its date, and merchants will be notified of material changes.
